Ty Traez, Primelin.
A fabulous house, the best we have stayed in in France. Lister/ Bates High Wycombe.
This house has got to be the Relais Chateaux of holiday homes. We rent lots of house in Brittany for my painitng trips and this one has got to be the BEST! Hilary Dymond, Lyon. Spring 2009
Had a really lovely week, very relaxing house is beautiful and comfortable, especially the beds and bedding. Amazingly long lie-ins and how quiet it is in the mornings! Good choice of property, ideal layout for a holiday and very well done. Great location too. P and J, London. Spring 2009
Ty Traez has also put it's spell on us. Although the surrounding area is beautiful with magnificent coastal walks, it was the house and garden that truly made our holiday a relaxed and 'erholsom' one. Claire and Andrew have provided a 5 star accommodation that is more than just a holiday rental. CH and RS, Switzerland. Spring 2010.
A big thanks for sharing your fantastic house with us, great location, great home, great friends and great food made for a truly phenomenal week. With all the warnings of weather, we were only cautiously optimistic, however have been truly spoiled by day after day of radiant sunshine. Our time here has provided a window into a beautiful slice of the world we will not soon forget. From Pointe du Van to Pont Aven, and Douarnenez to Audierne the landscape of hospitality is truly one of a kind. We couldn't have asked for anything more from the house, beds worthy of long lie ins and fires burning well into the night, traveling all the way from Canada, this was a home away from home. Wouldn't change a thing, thanks again, Steve, Mary Helen, Marc and Carlie, Toronto, Canada. Spring 2010
We have had a wonderful time in Ty Traez. According to the children, there is no better place to learn to know Bretagne. A wonderful house, beautiful views, very nice playroom, great garden to play hockey, and breathtaking beaches. Very good beds, we did not sleep so much for a long time. We feel un happy to leave this place and hope to come back very soon. Family Bakker, Wassenaan, Holland. Spring 09
A wonderful week was had by all in this beautiful house. You have thought of everything from the soothing colours to the fabulous bed-linen to the wonderful kitchen. Everyone loved the garden, and the grown ups had a great time watching a different video every night from the 'library'. Erika, Nino, Greg and Jen, Canada. September 09
Thanks for all the things that made our stay exceptional. We will come again. VB Germany. May 09
What a lovely house this is, with lots of personal touches from owners who clearly have style and vision. We have enjoyed a wonderful week in this very beautiful unspoilt area and only wish we had another three. J May - Truro.
So often we have been disappointed by so called ‘luxury’ accommodation. On this occasion though we are both absolutely delighted. It was a relief and a joy to find such a lovely holiday home awaiting us after our very long journey. St Tugen is indeed lovely. Strongly recommend watching the fleet return at Guilvinec and purchasing some of the fresh catch to cook and eat within hours. The Morgans of Yat Lock, Herefordshire
Such a beautiful house with such a light and calm feel to it. All the furnishings fit perfectly with the colour schemes. We have had a super week. M Bailey St Albans.
A wonderful and relaxing stay. The house is such a pleasure to be in and we really wish we could stay! All your tasteful decoration, furnishings and colours are superb! Thank you both for the opportunity to share your beautiful house which we have felt this week was 'home'. We would love to return very soon. S. Williams S. Wales.
As Americans we came a long distance it was well worth it. Rowand - VA. USA
We've enjoyed the lovely beaches, the rustling trees, fantastic sunsets, wonderful local foods. Harnan family.
We’ve had a very enjoyable and relaxing two weeks. The house is absolutely beautiful. We love the décor – very tasteful. The garden is great too – excellent for children, football, picnics. Sue, Chris and family London, UK
Wonderful two weeks. Very relaxing in such a peaceful house. Rob, Mary, and kids Winchester UK
This is the most charming house, and so beautifully restored and decorated. We have enjoyed every minute of what was too short a stay but look forward to returning next year. Jonathan and Dao, Saltash, UK
It is with great thanks that we write in this book. What an amazing location. We loved walking towards Audierne along the paths above the sea. Being able to hold up in such a beautiful spot has been a wonderful way to have a little break from moving place to place. Your home shows nothing but all the love you have put into it. It truly is a visual delight. We would love to return. Thank you again for the wonderful job you have done in creating such a special home. Karen and Paul. Martha’s Vineyard Mass. USA.
We really loved the house - you are on to a winning strategy there - it was by far the best presented house we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a few...). It is also the first time I have stayed in a house so well kitted out for the things that families actually want and need to do. Bill FP.
We stayed in several places all over La Bretagne, but this charming house in the middle of the beautiful Cap Sizun is one of our favourites. The weather was just fantastic, sunshine every day! We enjoyed walking on the GR34 between the several 'pointes' on the north side of the cape as well as the 'sentier cotier' at the end of the street leading to Audierne. The sunset at the Baie des Trepasses was breathtaking and the starry sky at night seen from the garden of the house, amazing. A & W Oost Belgium. I can definitely say that this house did not disappoint. Sometimes all is not as it seems on the internet, but this house more than lives up to the pictures.
Kistinic
Thank you for a lovely week in what is the best, highest standard gite that I have stayed in. Colin.
It is a lovely place to spend time at and relax and the decor and furniture, as well as the layout of the property were 100%. We have to say that you've got it right and we couldn't have wished for better. Paul.
We have stayed in lovely places, but never in one which came anyway near to yours. Gill and David.
The accommodation honestly couldn't have been any better, and the beautiful surroundings and peace and tranquility made for a superb holiday. We felt most at home straight away. Claire and family.
A really enjoyabe holiday, the house is very comfortable especially the beds. Superb gardens and great views. Caroline - Bahrein.
An excellent week was had by all, due in no small part to the standard of accomodation offered by the gatehouse. Top Notch. Martin.
Kistinic is a truly wonderful, peaceful retreat in magnificent surroundings. The house is a delight with all home comforts. Michael, Irene, Karen, Emma and Oliver.
Another wonderful week! No need to express how we feel about this place as our return in August ot be married says it all. Claire and Nick.
Thanks to Andrew and Claire for a wonderful welcome and for their care and attention throughout the week. We had a wonderful time. Highlight of the week was winning a bottle of champagne for beating 8 minutes around the mountain bike circuit (not easy!) A great holiday we will be back. Guy, Maria, Luke, Sam, Julie and Harry
The gatehouse and its surroundings ooze elegance and yet also comfort. The ‘parc’ is magnificent and must take hours and hours of work, incredibly impressive and lovely. Even better are the most welcoming and helpful hosts. Thank you for all making us feel so welcome. We loved Quimper and its cobblestoned streets. Also loved the north coast of the peninsula with its rugged coast and relentless surf. What a glorious part of France. We hope to return soon. Jon and Donna Ontario, Canada.
We have had a lovely week, a comfortable home from home, beautiful surroundings, a great pool, kind playmates for our girls, the list is endless. Saadia, Kamran, Imaan and Zahra – London
Once again we have had a wonderful holiday. I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding for Claire and Nicky an exceptionally special day we will remember for ever! Margaret, Dave, Dale and Jake
A really nice break in spectacular surroundings. The cottage has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. And thanks to our hosts who are friendly and welcoming and generously allow guests full use of the ‘parc’ and swimming pool. Anne, Bill, Jan and Glen
Merci pour ce merveilleux sejour a Kistinic et notre chalereux accueil. Nous avons tous beaucoup aime le parc et la richesse automnale. Le trampoline a eu un success phenomenal! Jean-Francois, Stephanie et Filles, Paris
Ty Bois, Crozon
Claire - you said we would not be disappointed.....Ty Bois has completely surpassed our expectations - we think this must be the best place to stay on the whole of the Presqu'ile de Crozon region. We have had a fantastic time and were only let down by the weather. You have done a fantastic job renovating Ty Bois - the antique and modern mixture of furnishings complement each other beautifully though it remains a completely family friendly property and we could relax knowing there was nothing too precious to touch! We really appreciated the provision of maps which were well used, as well as the AA guidebook, novels, CDs and DVDs. We were so pleased to have a couple of days in which we made use of the boat and kayak. We will not hesitate to recommend Ty Bois to our freinds and we are sure we will return. What a privilege to have been your first guests. Best wishes, C, J, T & S R, Colchester, UK
Wow what a location, the setting and the views are exquisite. I could happily walk all day just soaking in the atmosphere and Sun. Kelli Lawrence May 2010
An absolutely superb holiday in wonderful surroundings. The house has everything you could wish for in a holiday home and offered contemporary, yet stylish living in a truly stunning location. After fantastic former praise there is little to add except that after a hectic first four months of the year, it was great to truly unwind and we can safely say this happened from the moment we drove up the track and saw Ty Bois. D, T and T, Bath, UK.
If you have got as far as reading this you have already made a very wise choice! After spending a fortnight here enjoying total bliss, all that is left to say is Claire, Andrew, we tip our hats to you. You have done a magical thing with a mystical house in a breathtaking location. We loved the whole experience, it's just what we needed. I and D, Orpington, Kent.
Many many thanks Claire. We had an absolutely blissful time. Ty Bois was better than we dreamed (and our dreams were certainly fueled by your lovely website.) We were lucky to have had such nice weather of course. We are very grateful to you for providing so thoughtfully for our comfort and fun. S & S Argyll. .
Wow! Great location and a lovely lodge that's very well kitted out. Almost sorry it wasn't cold enough to try out the log fire! Used the boat a couple of times, as well as quite a bit of paddling around in the kayak - down as far as the boat graveyard downriver. Plenty of little bass around for Dad + Mike, but nothing big enough to bother BBQing. Mike also triumphed in the tennis tournament thanks sometimes to eccentric rules and an eccentric court. Overall a great week and one we'll remember. L, D, R, M & K, Edinburgh
A wonderful house in a magical place!! Although a very wet start to the week, it didn't dampen our enjoyment at all. Morgat, Quimper and Camaret were much appreciated in the rain and it was wonderful to return to Ty Bois at the en dof a busy day and relax in the tranquil surroundings. As the weather improved we ventured out to explore the Crozon coast, what beautiful beaches and dramatic cliffs. We found the locals friendly and cider friendlier!! All in all a great holiday, we will return. Many thanks, A, L, K, E, N, Liverpool.
We have spent an absolutely wonderful week here! We have had warm and sunny weather with not a spot of rain! The chalet did indeed surpass our expectations. The views were beautiful and the house itself was beautifully decorated and well equipped. The decking was an excellent feature, we ate outside most days. The chalet was well received by our children, lots of attention for them, much as a result of the airy open plan style.
This is a wonderful region of France and we explored as much as we could in the time. We enjoyed a fabulous day at Oceanopolis, the children loved it - well worth a visit. Quimper is a bustling and interesting town to visit. Trez Bihan beach was truly marvellous. We also did a tour of the Crozon peninsula, including Camaret(must visit the Pen Hir viewpoint for views), Morgat and Crozon. Also did a drive around the small peninsula towards the Pointe des Espagnoles. Thankyou for a wonderful week! A, R, F and C M
A dream come true for us. We all enjoyed everything during our stay. Thankyou very much, Claire and Andrew, for making this beautiful place available to be a pleasure for so many people. Roland, Johanna, Mona, Simon and Samuel S, Germany.
This is a place where you can think about anything you like and where you can talk about whatever seems worth talking about. We talked , thought and just plain relaxed. Thanks, Brian and Bev, Australia
Thankyou for the wonderful time in your little paradise at the end of the world. F + B, Germany
Not sure that I can add to the many wonderful comments already written except to say that all of its true. We have loved our time here. The location and view are the stuff of dreams. Our children have loved watching stars from the balcony and spotting toads and bats that come out at night. Hope to return and will definitely look at your other properties. J, R, J and F
Thankyou for having shared with us this little wonder. N and D, Rome, Italy
Our third year and just as wonderful and perfect as ever, rain or shine! Thankyou Claire and Andrew for this little bit of paradise. S, T, O and G, Scotland.
Lostmarch, Crozon
Lostmarc'h : Love at first sight! Stunning views towards Cap de la Chevre and the beaches and a beautiful and tastefully decorated house. Just like we imagined and hoped it would be! A + W G, Belgium
The most wonderful cottage in the most wonderful place. We really enjoyed the unspoilt coast and all that the Atlantic could give - waves, rain, wind and beautiful sunny spell! It all worked fantastically - even lazy afternoons and evenings on the sofa and our evening movies. Thanks for the hospitality and for all the kids kits. J, A, A and J R, Wimbledon, London. (We rediscovered cross country running in this fab place)
A fantastic house in a stunning setting. We spent our days walking, sleeping, reading, EATING! and watching DVD's - a perfect break. We hope to come back again. A, S and E, London.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this delightful cottage and the thought that the beach at Lostmarc'h was stunning. We hope to return again. C, B, J and E RW, Sheffield
Thankyou for sharing with us your wonderful cottage in Lostmarc'h. We really fell in love with the stunning location offering great walks, views and tranquility - yet also within easy driving distance to the shops and restaurants! Your cottage has a 'home from home' feeling and the quality throughout far exceeded our expectation. In our experience of staying in rental homes throughout Europe (and even further afield) we would place yours at the top end of the market and we would have no hesitation in recommending Lostmarc'h and your cottage to our friends and family. We look forward to returning to the area and staying in another one of your homes soon. Thanks again and best regards, M, T and J, Bristol, UK.
We feel really privileged to be among the early guests at this five star property. The external views are breathtaking and the internal decor of the cottage is stunning. What a fantastic fusion of the tradition and modern. So much thought has obviously gone into creating the perfect place to stay. There is certainly a plethora of things to do around the area, so much so that we shall need to return to continue our exploration of this corner of Paradise. L. A. & A Newbury, UK.
We have had a fantastic holiday, a beautiful house in a stunning location, what more could we have asked for. You have a fantastic house in piece of paradise. R, I, L & J
Ty Bili, Primelin
Thankyou for a very restful week at Ty Bili. We love the renovation and found everything very comfortable. We didn't venture too far but enjoyed many coastal path walks - St Tugen, La Loch, Pointe du Raz, and Pointe de Brezellec. Gorgeous coast. Enjoyed exploring Audierne and can recommend the Saturday market. With thanks, R, A, R + H, Gloucestershire, UK
We enjoyed two wonderful weeks in Ty Bili. The house is very well furnished, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the stove, the kitchen and the hilarious British DVD's. 'Happy go Lucky' taught us something about British humour....! We recommend the oysters from Audierne, (18 for 7 Euros!) and the fish from Leclerc. Besides the ocean, the beautiful air, the sun and the cosy house to come back to. D, D, K + D, Munich, Germany.
Thankyou for a wonderful two weeks at Ty Bili. The house was lovely as was the weather. E, S, R, A + L, UK.
