For the boating and fishing enthusiast, the water is on your doorstep.The two kayaks give you the freedom to pick any fishing spot or to visit riverside towns and villages where you can moor up for lunch. You can also explore the many creeks and islands within the estuary and the fishing is excellent, sea bass being particularly widespread, and oysters and scallops can be collected from in front of the chalet at very low tide.

Two new Ocean Kayaks are also provided which allow you to explore up tiny creeks, and see wildlife inaccessible to motor boats. The first is a large, 4.1m Malibu Two XL, which can take 2 adults and a child and is capable of travelling up to 2 nautical miles offshore - details of which can be seen HERE. The second is a Scrambler - it can be loaded into a reasonable sized car and taken out to sea. Details can be seen HERE. Guests should be aware that kayaking is potentially dangerous and should only be undertaken by good adult swimmers equipped with lifevests in good conditions, in full understanding of local conditions, tides, currents, etc. Frenchberry cannot accept any responsibility for any accidents or misadventure resulting from the use of the kayak.

There is a full size tennis court in the gardens, fully fenced, with glimpses of the river through the trees. The surface is not in A1 condition but is perfectly adequate for a fun knock around. We will be trying to improve the condition over time. Two tennis rackets are provided.

The chalet is situated in a fantastic position to take advantage of a wide range of local activities. The Crozon peninsula has a stunning coastal path, with an amazing variety of beautiful beaches. With easy access to the open sea, it is possible to pursue sand yachting, kite surfing, windsurfing, sailing, as well as surfing.
Footpaths depart from the chalet and the nearby Menez Hom has a network of walking and cycle tracks. The Brest Iroise Golf course at Landernau is 6296 yards and par 71. Ranked 13th in France it is one of the most challenging in Brittany, and set in wild moors with unforgettable views over Brest Harbour.
For children there are theme parks and the Aquarium of Oceanopolis.
