We are especially pleased to have our holiday rental house in Finistere; Ty Bili featured in the winter edition of French Entrée Magazine.
The article tells the story of the journey from renovating our first post-university flat to creating luxury rental properties in Brittany, and more specifically the renovation of our holiday cottage Ty Bili.
Ty Bili which is a typical Breton stone longère dating from 1836 and the oldest in the hamlet in Primelin, on the Cap Sizun in Brittany, was the last house in our collection that we renovated, and the most interesting of all to do. It was one of those renovations that make you not want to do any more, and we have to admit a few tears were shed! In the end, however, it turned out to be the house that we are the most proud of and probably our most stylish holiday rental house to date.
We get a lot of guest comments from this house for the decoration. Our guests particularly like the light and airy feel we have created in the open plan kitchen / living area, with its limestone floors and lime plaster walls. The luxurious bathrooms in decorative concrete with roll top bath and walk in shower, and the comfortable bedrooms with top quality beds and fine linens. Here are a few of our guest comments:-
“We have been holidaying in France, particularly Brittany, for 30 years. Ty Bili is the best house we’ve stayed in. Great attention to detail throughout and such a beautiful quiet garden. Having the coastal path on the doorstep has been a bonus.”
“Thank you Claire and Andrew and particularly Agnes for presenting the cottage so well – the best self catering cottage we have found in France”“Just to say thank you for our lovely stay at your cottage. We are sad to be leaving and would have preferred to stay another week. We shall definitely return. It has been a wonderful stay and the renovation of the cottage is first class. “
Thankyou for a very restful week at Ty Bili. We love the renovation and found everything very comfortable. We didn’t venture too far but enjoyed many coastal path walks – St Tugen, La Loch, Pointe du Raz, and Pointe de Brezellec. Gorgeous coast. Enjoyed exploring Audierne and can recommend the Saturday market.”
We enjoyed two wonderful weeks in Ty Bili. The house is very well furnished, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the stove, the kitchen and the hilarious British DVD’s. Besides the ocean, the beautiful air, the sun and the cosy house to come back to.”
We had an amazing week here with some unexpected sunshine thrown in for good measure! Our two little boys loved playing in the garden and it is such an easy house to stay in. We love the soothing nature of the decor and it’s really well equipped, especially with little ones! We will be back again! Thank you.”
